The 1994 track Arctic Trance from Airplay aka Jean-Claude Russell and Sven Staes represents the Bonzai sound at that time perfectly. A surreal, mysterious intro leads into distant acid blips before bursting into a full on hard trancer that hypnotises with a superb percussion arrangement and spacey breakdowns. The original vinyl release was backed with the superb Out Of Side with a heavily FX’d DR Martin Luther King Junior delivering his famous I Have A Dream speech while sounds swirled around overhead. After an epic intro we are left a deep and dark techno monster that got the heart racing with a fast paced groove. Just one more snippet of the vast Bonzai empire.
