Laurent Véronnez, Ludovic Meyer and Peter Schiettekatte made up the progressive trance trio Cape Town and were responsible for a string of top trance tracks in the early to mid 2000’s. Aviateur brought together the trio’s hits under one roof to the delight of many. There can be no doubt that Cape Town created some timeless classics that still resonate today.
Cinema is regarded as Cape Town’s best, it’s one of those searing uplifting trance tracks that simply never gets old. The beautifully constructed melodies evoke all kinds of emotions that bring listeners to a happy place. The B-Side featured the equally top notch Pheonix Tears which became a firm DJ favourite with its driving progressive trance grooves.

X-tension was the group’s 3rd strike with Skydriver being their debut and Stringrizer following soon after. The trio can be credited to a huge amount of Bonzai releases over several of its labels and boast an impressive list of aliases that would blow your mind. X-Tension delivers a solid trance workout and is backed up with Chameleon on the flip.
Released in 2002 at the height of a burgeoning trance scene, Pitstop fell into the classic category fairly quickly. Featuring a solid drum section and beautifully cascading synth melodies this became a DJ friendly track that always got the floors moving. The original 12″ came with Touch The Skies, Talk To The Stars on the flip which in itself was a masterstroke of trance music production with its cinema-scopic sound design and uplifting vibe.
